Some milestones are just too precious not to document in a big, beautiful way. I recently had the incredible honor of photographing this family as they gathered to celebrate the heart of their family—Grandma Lola—on her 92nd birthday!

Honoring the Matriarch



Ninety-two years young! What a magnificent life to celebrate. With four generations coming together, this session was more than just photos—it was a living testament to the love, strength, and legacy that Lola has built over the decades.


We met on a peaceful overcast morning at Hopkins Wilderness Park in Redondo Beach, the perfect backdrop for a day filled with laughter, connection, and heartfelt moments. The atmosphere was pure joy—a mix of playful energy from the cousins and tender, quiet moments of affection for their beloved matriarch.

From Individual Moments to Group Hugs



Extended family sessions can be a whirlwind, but they are always worth it. We began with the grand portrait of everyone together, a striking visual of their strong family tree. From there, each family unit stepped in for their own set of timeless portraits, creating keepsakes they’ll treasure for years to come. We also made time for all the connections that make a family so unique—grandkids gathered with their cousins, siblings sharing knowing smiles, and of course those precious one-on-one moments with Grandma.


One of my favorite parts of the morning was watching the sweet bond between Lola and 4-year-old Lana. Their laughter and hugs were pure magic, a perfect reminder of the love that spans generations.

A Legacy of Love


These aren't just photos - they are a visual legacy. Proof of the resilience, laughter, and devotion that began with one remarkable woman. The hugs were tight, the teasing was playful, and the love was absolutely unmistakable.
